The UV-X™ 2000 embodies the second generation of portable cross-linking devices from the inventors of corneal cross-linking, Prof. Theo Seiler and Prof. Eberhard Spoerl. The device features higher power and a modified beam profile to treat keratoconus patients.

KEY FEATURES

  • Illumination time of 10 minutes
  • Non-Gaussian beam profile
  • Average power of 9.0 mW/cm²
  • Energy dose of 5.4 J/cm²
  • Portable

The UV-X™ 2000 is used to perform faster cross-linking, which has the potential to halt progression of keratoconus and ectasia.
